You can go into the service mode without using the switch. All you need to do is power down the machine and on the physical board set dip 4 to on and power on machine. This will boot you into the service mode. Make your changes and make sure to save. Once you see it flash "saved" then simply power off the machine and flip dip 4 back to off and power up as normal.
